"Sweet Pea"
My story of healing for Sweet Pea is different than most. While her physical wounds have mostly healed, her emotional ones still lingered.
I adopted Sweet Pea from Last Chance Rescue, who pulled her from Union Shelter in South Carolina. She was a bait dog. For her first 2 years of life, she was abused in ways that bring tears to everyone's eyes. Her distrust of humans seemed insurmountable, but I fell in love with her and knew we belonged together.
The first few months, she hid behind the couch and would not look at me. She followed my large dog around and tried to figure out living in a house by modeling what he did. Being dog savvy, I did everything imaginable to gain her trust. It was a slow process. After 6 months, I knew I needed to up my game to help her. I went to a Dog Behaviorist. Sweet Pea and I continued to progress.
But I knew I still needed more for her. I noticed the name of Andrea's shop and "Heart, Mind and Spirit" seemed to call to me. I didn't know she was also a Pet Healer until speaking with her. There is something about Andrea that immediately gives you comfort. The best I can explain it, is that she listens to what you say but not only through your words.
I brought Sweet Pea in for a session and Andrea, also being dog savvy, already knew not to look directly at her, and to watch her body language cues. With Sweet Pea a little more trusting of her, she began working on her emotional healing. She did a few different healing methods, all tailored to what she felt, in the moment, with Sweet Pea.
A few days later I noticed a subtle difference. A little more relaxed, a little more confident. A week later the improvement was 10 fold. I am sure it was a combination of the Behaviorist's suggestions and my dedication to her, but Andrea's healing abilities, which helped Sweet Pea release the demons of her past, can't be denied.
Then, the biggest noticeable change that made my heart skip a beat happened. Sweet Pea began wagging her tail, and showing acknowledgment and happiness when I came home! When she wakes up, she now rolls over for me to rub her belly (a belly she hid because it was the only place that did not have dozens of bite marks). I am able to hold the paw where she no longer has a nail because her abusers cut it to the bone. We practice leash walking in the yard, and she is more confident, not pulling away, afraid of my hands.
I went back to Heart, Mind and Spirit to share a video of the more relaxed Sweet Pea greeting me with joy and tell her of our accomplishments. As I walked in, Andrea held up the note pad she keeps. On it were a few things she wanted to do today. "Sweet Pea" was written at the top of the list.

*Andrea's comments: this is what healing is all about… Not only one method, a behaviorist, an energy worker /communicator… But the love and devotion the pet parent gives is one of the most important gifts in the healing process. I have never seen anyone as dedicated as Joyce, both of them brought tears to my eyes the love was so strong! Thank you both for coming into my life! ❤️
UPDATE: 8/17/17 - Joyce stopped in today to show me a video of Sweet Pea walking around the yard with Joyce & her other beautiful dog. Sweet Pea was running and playing like a NORMAL DOG!!! Touched my heart!!!

“Asia-Luna”
My Siamese cat Asia-Luna survived cancer about 3 yrs ago. He was doing well.
The week of Thanksgiving 2013, Asia-Luna stopped eating. We took him to the animal hospital where they did an ultrasound of his stomach. He had pancreatitis. We couldn't get him to eat so the veterinarian had to insert a feeding tube into him and said it would remain in for at least 4 weeks.
After the first week he got an upper respiratory infection [he could not smell his food so there was another reason why he wasn’t eating]. I was very stressed out and saw The Pet Healer on Facebook and called her. We live far apart so we set up a session over the phone the next day. I let her know I am a Reiki level 2 [practitioner], so she said she would try to channel [energy] through me to Asia-Luna. We did and she taught me a technique to use to help clear up & heal his sinuses.
In 2 days the infection was gone and he was eating 3 days later - the tube was in only 2 and a half weeks!
It has been 4 months and he is doing great!! He got all his weight back. I try to do Reiki when I think of it.
Thank you Andrea,
Russell Clinton
[Andrea's comments: Russell sent pictures of Asia-Luna to me prior to our phone session. I was able to send healing both through Russell during our phone session and long distance with the photos. In this particular case, the energy work was magnified because there were two of us working on this kitty. Russell was hesitant at first because he had not practiced Reiki in a long time. I assured him that once you have it, you don’t lose it. He also loved his cat so much and wanted him to be well – half the secret to healing is intention, and I knew we would be successful! Asia-Luna is a gorgeous Siamese - my favorite breed of cat! (My first Siamese cat’s name was Aja!)]
Many blessings and thank you for sharing your story, Russell and Asia-Luna!!

"Chopper"
Approximately 12 years ago, one of the young women at my job came to me and told me her dog Chopper was missing and that she would have to leave early to help find him. Suzanne knew I did some sort of healing and intuitive work and asked for my help. I don't recall much of our conversation but I remember being in the kennel when she was leaving for the evening, around 5pm. As she ran out the door, I blurted out, "Don't worry, you will find him around 11 o'clock tonight". This was one of my first few experiences with information coming to me through silent words, or telepathy.
I lived in the same town where Chopper was last seen. I left about an hour after Suzanne and I took a detour to the area in Glen Cove where she said Chopper was living. I drove up and down a road trying to get a feel for him. It was a lovely residential area, lots of homes and trees meaning, lots of places to hide. I came upon a some sort of school or academy on the left side of Frost Pond Road and something kept drawing me back to it.
On one of my back-and-forths, I saw a young woman with a child walking on the side of the very quiet road. I rolled my window down and asked her if she had seen a large mixed breed dog. She too was searching for a lost dog. It only took a minute for us to figure out we both were looking for the same dog! She was a family member and recalled hearing Suzanne speak about me, so she was comfortable conversing with this strange lady who pull over to talk with her! I felt something happen when we spoke - perhaps I felt Chopper through her? After we chatted, I called Suzanne to tell her where I was and who I met.
I don't recall if it was during that phone call or after I reached home, but I told Suzanne that my intuition was very strong that Chopper would definitely be in that area about 11pm that evening. As I spoke, I saw an image of bleachers in a field that was not being used, and across from them was a lot of brush. In my image, I saw Chopper hiding in the bushes, very scared. I asked her to call me no matter what time she needed to.
If memory serves me well, it was almost 11:30 and my phone rang. It was Suzanne. She was talking fast and loud and crying. "I FOUND CHOPPER!!" And somehow she told me she found the bleachers I was talking about on the school property and sat there, quietly, every now and then shaking a box of biscuits (I believe biscuits). Across the way, in the bushes, she spotted Chopper...very timid...a little frightened...around the 11 o'clock hour.
And home he went.
After we hung up, I just remember staring up at the ceiling, saying "Thank you" and wondered...

What's wrong with our rescue dog?
I saw a volunteer walking a very handsome Beagle mix in the parking lot of an animal hospital where they were going for a training class (2008-2009). Upon viewing this dog from the left I felt something was out of alignment in him. The volunteer knew who I was & asked if I could help him with some issues. I asked her what he was being fed & she told me - it was a commercial dry food to which they added in some human veggies & meat. I immediately felt this dog had an allergy to something in that food and I made a quick suggestion of another brand of food, making sure she ran this by her director & veterinarian. When we finished speaking, she showed me the dog's right side and there were several big bald spots. At that point I knew I had called it right.
Two weeks later she called me and stated that not only was he putting on weight (which he needed to) but the fur on his right side was growing in again. She said the difference was noticeable enough that when her neighbors passed her on their morning jogs, they noticed how good he looked. That's why I love what I do!!

"Kelly"
About 10 years ago I was visiting friends in New Hampshire. They had a geriatric Golden Retriever mix that had arthritis & other joint issues. We were outside enjoying the beautiful grounds they lived on. Kelly was laying on the ground, barely able to move from the apparent pain. My friend Pete, although very skeptical, asked me if I could help Kelly. She was in so much pain when I touched her she swung her head back to warn me, so I kept my hands about 6 inches above her body. Pete held her head while I worked on her, for about 15 minutes. Every time my hands hovered over a painful area, she swung her head around to let me know she felt something. I used a very gentle method on her but knew when she had enough.
We went into the house and a few hours later his partner came home. She wanted to show me the streams near their house. We were tired so she took their 2 dogs & left. (She had no idea I worked on Kelly nor did she believe in energy work). Upon her return however, she looked at me and demanded to know "What did you do to Kelly??" I asked why she asked! She said that when they went to the stream, Kelly literally ran down the dirt trail to the stream, walked through it, climbed back up, got into the car & was out back walking around with their other dog at that very moment. When we told her Kelly had energy work done, she actually didn't believe it!
The next day, she sat down with me & asked what I did and how I did it...and then we talked...

"Chip"
I have been a Mini Schnauzer enthusiast for many years. Presently I am owned by 3! I adopted a 9 year old boy July 2014 and all 3 get along famously.
Several years ago one of my friends who is a Schnauzer breeder called to ask if I could help her bitch who was in trouble whelping a litter. The veterinarians had given her the maximum safe doses of medication that one would give an animal in labor. She had passed 2 healthy puppies but according to radiographs, 2 were still in the womb. Too much time was passing and the vet recommended a C-section so she didn't lose the other 2 puppies. Although she does not fully understand my work, she had enough trust in me to ask my assistance. I instinctively knew that I could help. With permission from her 2 vets, we went to work. Before even meeting the dog, I told her and the vets that the reason Chip was not passing the puppies was because one had died in the womb & she was fearful because she understood what was happening. Of course they all didn't know what to think...of me that is!
Left alone in an exam room, my first job was to connect with Chip and earn her trust. I was given 30 minutes before they prepped her for a C-section so the pressure was on. I prayed, meditated & made a strong connection to the dog. I could almost hear and audible "click" when she looked up and me and expressed her trust. I explained that I understood her, that I knew one of her babies was gone but she had to work with me to help the other survive. I used gently petting strokes (Reiki/my own methods) and asked her to relax and trust. The doctors checked on us & I assured them I could do this in 40 minutes. In a short time, Chip passed a live & healthy puppy! They took her to clean her up & check her out. The harder part was getting Chip to let the 4th one go, but she did and unfortunately, it was stillborn. The staff did try to revive him but he had been gone for a while.
I write this story not for you to be sad (although it is) but for you to understand how Reiki & energy work can help in so many situations. This is a success story. The mother did not have to have a major surgery -- the big issue. The breeder was spared a very expensive day at the animal hospital. And a large amount of people were introduced to a totally new way of thinking.
